JeanMacraeJean was born in Inverness and married Alastair Macrae from Station Road, Tomatin. They had two sons and after Alastair was made redundant by the closure of the Tomatin Distillery they ran the petrol station next to the Freeburn Hotel. They made a great success of it and also raised a lot of money for charity and also funds to build the “new” village hall to replace the one which had been under the railway bridge.
