**** Breaking news and survey reminder ****
Strathdearn Community Developments (SCD) are keen to know what Strathdearn Hall play park users feel about proposed changes to the current facility. A survey opened 8th August 2018, sought opinion on the proposed Strathdearn Hall site plan by asking play park users to send thoughts relating to the play park provision. image (view site plan here) (4.38 MB)
This survey is still open; however, due to recent updates, the closing date is extended to 14th September 2018. The updates relate chiefly to a proposed additional play area, complementary to the play areas already earmarked at the hall, as described below:
SCD are considering, pending funds and planning approval, to relocate the existing play equipment from the Strathdearn Hall site to a new play area below Old Mill Road.
The existing play park equipment will be safety checked prior to re-installation.
Any newly created play area is unlikely to be in place prior to completion of the Hub.
The tender submitted by the appointed Hub construction firm, Compass, includes removal and storage, but not re-installation, of the existing play park equipment. The tender does not include purchase of new play park equipment.
Compass' tender includes landscaping at the Strathdearn Hall site, including needs arising from play area-related decisions. Compass may be asked to install any new play park equipment, as they are experienced in working with play equipment suppliers.
SCD wishes to thank those who have already responded to the survey - we appreciate your input! We hope you will send any further thoughts you have in light of recent updates. We hope to hear from as many play park users as possible. Please send as long or short a response as you wish. There is no right or wrong answer - it is your opinion that counts!
We look forward to hearing from you!
