Dalmagarry Farm Holiday Cottage

dgarry

This purpose built holiday cottage was completed in May 2000 and has been finished to a high standard. It is situated on a hill farm in the Strathdearn Valley close to the River Findhorn, 12 miles south of the city of Inverness. The Millennium Cycle-way passes through the farm. Due to the traditional and environmentally friendly methods of farming techniques practised and special habitats actively managed, the farm has a good and varied population of breeding birds (particularly waders). It is an excellent situation for bird watching with over 100 different species of bird being seen in or around its location.

Press

The Press

Press is a deceptively spacious, stone built farmhouse in a secluded setting with panoramic views across the River Findhorn to the hills of Strathdearn. The cosy family kitchen, with French overlooking the hills, is a natural gathering place and so impressed TV chef Jamie Oliver that he chose to film an episode of his ‘The Naked Chef’ series here. The Press is ideal for large groups of family or friends, or by fishermen who can enjoy salmon fishing on the River Findhorn. The millennium city of Inverness is just 16 miles north and 16 miles south is the all year round tourist destination of Aviemore. Walkers and birdwatchers will enjoy the tranquillity of the hills, forests and silver birch woodland around the house. The garden is fenced off and a natural playground for children. Fishing, stalking and shooting are by separate arrangement.
