Dalmigavie is a pretty and comfortable family house, set in a peaceful position overlooking the River Findhorn. It has all been redecorated in the past few years and has oil central heating, an open fire and a wood stove to ensure a warm interior. The sitting room and dining room both have large bay windows overlooking the river, on which salmon fishing is usually available. The large family kitchen has a four-oven Aga.
Glenan Lodge Guest House
Glenan Lodge is a traditional country house in a village location in the midst of the Monadliath mountains just 15 miles south of Inverness and 15 miles north of Aviemore on the main A9. We are fully non smoking. We have a comfortable guest lounge with video a homely dining room and licenced bar. Home cooked evening meals are available on request. We are ideally situated for walking cycling bird watching mountain biking or just touring the Highlands Loch Ness and the ski area at Aviemore are each only a 30 minute drive away and Tomatin Distillery with it's Vistor Centre is next door We also have our own 2 mile beat on the river Findhorn for the use of our guests for salmon and wild brown trout fishing.
Inverbrough cottage, which was the farmhouse on the small hill farm of Upper Inverbrough is located in the glorious highlands of Scotland, sitting on a bend of the Findhorn, giving it extensive views up and down the river. It has been almost entirely rebuilt and refurbished to bring it to the highest standard of modern living. About a mile from the centre of Tomatin village, 16 miles from Inverness, and an easy drive to many tourist attactions, it offers a premium balance between seclusion and convenience.
Strathnoon is an isolated yet fully equipped cottage (pictured above) available for weekly or fortnightly holiday lets throughout the year. Situated in Monarch of The Glen country in the Scottish Highlands, Strathnoon is close to the Cairngorm Mountains and lies in a Strath (valley) called Strathdearn alongside the River Findhorn.
Press is a deceptively spacious, stone built farmhouse in a secluded setting with panoramic views across the River Findhorn to the hills of Strathdearn. The cosy family kitchen, with French overlooking the hills, is a natural gathering place and so impressed TV chef Jamie Oliver that he chose to film an episode of his ‘The Naked Chef’ series here. The Press is ideal for large groups of family or friends, or by fishermen who can enjoy salmon fishing on the River Findhorn. The millennium city of Inverness is just 16 miles north and 16 miles south is the all year round tourist destination of Aviemore. Walkers and birdwatchers will enjoy the tranquillity of the hills, forests and silver birch woodland around the house. The garden is fenced off and a natural playground for children. Fishing, stalking and shooting are by separate arrangement.
Tomatin House is a comfortable family home, enjoying a beautiful private setting on the banks of the River Findhorn. Dating from approximately 1640, the house enjoys a glorious private setting, surrounded by wonderful mixed woodland and extensive lawns. Improved and extended over the centuries, the house now offers extremely comfortable accommodation for up to 15 people. On the ground floor there is a large elegant drawing room and sitting room each with open fires, dining room seating 12 and well appointed kitchen with Aga, playroom and cloakroom with two w.c's and bath. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, one double room, two twin bedrooms with wash hand basins, three single bedrooms with wash hand basins, two further twin bedrooms, bathroom with separate shower and three further bathrooms.
Millcroft Highland Studio Flat is attached to the family home and is accessed via a separate staircase entrance (unfortunately, access is unsuitable for persons with mobility issues). The Highland Studio Flat is an open plan bedsit with double bed, kitchen facilities, and en-suite with shower. The Kitchen area includes a fridge with freezer compartment, electric hob, combi oven (oven, grill and microwave), toaster, and kettle. It has a dedicated storage shed and parking area. Guests of the Studio Flat have free use of 2 kayaks and 2 mountain bikes for the duration of their stay (see conditions below). Linen is provided, as is all crockery, cutlery, and other cooking and kitchen utensils. The settee folds down to create a single bed to give the option of twin occupancy sleeping arrangements if required. The apartment benefits from Freesat satellite television and free Wi-Fi. The Highland Studio Flat is self catering accommodation, and has a 2 night minimum stay policy.
