We are a walking group for health, but this needs clarifying. No one thinking of joining us needs to feel that they should already be fit. The whole point is to encourage all of us to take more exercise, and with that aim in mind, we run two walks simultaneously: one for those who are able to walk for up to one and a half hours, and one for those who can manage up to half an hour, which might include those with disabilities. On our walks we also enjoy observing wildlife, flora, landscapes and geological points of interest, as well as our many archaeological sites in Strathdearn.
The Group has three leaders. We finish our walks with refreshments in Strathdearn Hall, which promotes a very friendly and co-operative group, where each individual helps and considers all other members.
